Besides the possibility of not getting along with your co-neighbors, are there any other potential drawbacks to a co-working environment?
As with any workspace, you have to find out the rules and regulations of each space. Some coworking space has fixed operating hours, while some are 24 hours. The noise level varies as well in each space. The setup and facility - might or might not work for you. Making phone calls in shared space might be discouraged but some will have provided meeting room space.
At The Network Hub, we provide 24hr access to all our members, we have meeting room and open lounge areas for people to take calls. We encourage all potential members to take a tour of the space to see our set up and facility in person, that's the best way to get a feel of the space and to know whether it is the coworking space for you.
just wondering if it is possible to set up a viewing for the co-working space that became available for september? thanks! amanda
Yes, of course. We are open on weekdays from 9am to 5pm. So drop by anytime between and we'll show you around

Coworking is a movement to create a community of cafe-like collaboration spaces for developers, writers and independents. Pioneered in San Francisco by the Hat Factory (http://hatfactory.net/) and Citizen Space (http://citizenspace.us/), these places provide a casual work environment for web workers, consultants, freelancers and entrepreneurs to work independently, together. (http://www.techvibes.com/blog/camaraderie-in-coworking/)
You are working for yourself, but not by yourself. The aim of coworking spaces is to provide independent workers with the benefits of the social interaction that occurs from working in a typical office. (http://www.techvibes.com/blog/democamp-meets-coffee-shop/)
